Why Switch to a Tankless Water Heater?

Traditional tank heaters spend energy keeping 40–80 gallons of water hot around the clock — whether you need it or not. Tankless units heat water only when you turn on the tap, cutting wasted energy and delivering hot water without limits.

25–35% Energy savings vs.
traditional tanks
20+ Year lifespan vs.
8–12 for tank units
  • Endless hot water on demand

No waiting for a tank to reheat — hot water flows instantly and never runs out, even with multiple fixtures running at once.

  • Lower energy bills

Only heats water when you need it — eliminating standby heat loss that accounts for 20% of most homes' water heating costs.

  • Space-saving compact design

Most units mount on a wall and are roughly the size of a suitcase — freeing up significant floor space in your utility room or basement.

  • Longer equipment lifespan

Well-maintained tankless units regularly last 20 years or more — nearly double the life expectancy of a standard storage tank.

  • No risk of tank flooding

Traditional tanks can fail catastrophically. Tankless units eliminate that risk entirely — no standing water, no catastrophic leak potential.

Tankless Water Heater FAQ

Cost depends on fuel type (gas vs. electric), the unit's capacity, and whether your home needs gas line or venting modifications — common when converting from a tank system. Brand and BTU output factor in too. We give a firm, written quote after assessing your home, and the initial estimate is free.
Most tankless water heater installations are completed in a single day — typically 3 to 6 hours depending on the complexity of the gas line and venting work involved. We'll give you an accurate time estimate after assessing your home.
Yes — it's one of the most common upgrades we do. Switching does require modifying your gas line (tankless units draw more gas volume during heating bursts), upgrading venting, and handling the plumbing connections. We handle all of it, including permits and inspections.
We recommend annual service — including descaling to remove mineral buildup, filter cleaning, and a full system check. In areas with hard water, like much of Cape May and Atlantic County, annual descaling is especially important to maintain efficiency and prevent damage.
We install and service all major brands including Navien, Rinnai, Noritz, Bosch, and Rheem. We'll recommend the brand and model that best fits your household's hot water demand and budget.
Tankless works very well for most homes, but it's not a one-size-fits-all answer. Very large households with simultaneous high-demand use (multiple showers running at once) may need multiple units or a larger unit sized appropriately. We'll give you an honest assessment at no cost.
Yes — always. Tankless water heater installations in New Jersey require a permit, and we handle all permitting on your behalf. Unpermitted installations can create problems when selling your home or filing insurance claims. We do it right.
