No heat, strange noises, leaking pressure — our licensed technicians diagnose and fix boiler problems fast. Serving Cape May County and Atlantic County, NJ.
Steam or hot water, gas or oil — our licensed team services all residential boiler systems with the experience to get it right the first visit.
No heat, inconsistent heat, error codes, or a boiler that short-cycles and shuts off — we diagnose the actual cause and fix it. Common repairs include igniter and thermocouple replacement, circulator pump service, pressure relief valve replacement, and zone valve repair.
When a boiler reaches the end of its service life — typically 15–25 years — continued repair becomes a losing proposition. We size and install a new system correctly, handle all gas or oil connections, and set up the controls so everything runs efficiently from day one.
Switching from forced-air heat? Adding a radiant floor system? We handle full boiler installations — including system design, piping, zone controls, and commissioning. Boiler heat is quieter, more even, and more efficient than forced air for the right application.
A boiler that isn't serviced annually loses efficiency and is more likely to fail mid-winter. Our tune-up includes a full inspection, burner cleaning, flue check, pressure and temperature testing, and controls calibration — so your system runs safely and efficiently all season.
A bad circulator pump means some or all of your zones won't heat. A stuck zone valve means one room is scalding and another is cold. We service, replace, and balance circulator pumps and zone valves — restoring even heat distribution throughout the home.
A waterlogged expansion tank causes pressure spikes and can damage the boiler over time. A dripping pressure relief valve is a safety device telling you the system is running too hot or too pressurized. We replace both and get system pressure back within the correct operating range.
Boiler problems rarely fix themselves. Here's what the most common symptoms actually mean.
If the boiler fires but the heat never reaches the rooms, the problem is usually in the distribution system — a failed circulator pump, a stuck zone valve, or air trapped in the lines. In steam systems, it's often a failed steam trap or a venting issue. The boiler itself may be working perfectly.
Water near a boiler usually comes from a dripping pressure relief valve, a corroded pipe connection, a failing circulator pump seal, or the expansion tank. A relief valve that drips occasionally is doing its job — but one that drips constantly means system pressure is too high and needs to be corrected, not just replaced.
Banging in a hot water boiler is almost always caused by trapped air in the pipes or radiators. Kettling — a rumbling, boiling sound from the boiler itself — is caused by limescale buildup on the heat exchanger, particularly in hard water areas. Both reduce efficiency and put stress on the system.
A boiler that fires and shuts off repeatedly — never completing a full heating cycle — is short-cycling. It's usually caused by a faulty thermostat, an oversized boiler, or a blocked flue. Short-cycling drives up fuel costs, puts extra wear on the ignition system, and is a sign something needs to be corrected soon.
Boiler issues that get ignored in fall almost always become emergencies in January. These are the signs to act on now.
