We'll Fix It Fast.

Furnace repair and diagnostics from licensed HVAC technicians — serving Cape May County and Atlantic County, NJ. Same-week service, honest diagnosis, and repairs done right the first time.

Furnace Repair Services

From a no-heat call to a strange sound you can't explain — we diagnose it accurately and fix it correctly, on all makes and models.

Diagnosis & Repair

We don't guess. Our technicians run a full diagnostic to find the actual root cause — not just the first thing that looks off. Once we identify the problem, we explain it clearly and give you a firm price before any work begins. We carry common parts on every truck to resolve most repairs the same day.

Urgent Service Calls

A furnace that stops working in the middle of winter isn't a problem you can wait on. We prioritize urgent no-heat calls and work to get a technician out as quickly as possible. Platinum members have emergency fees waived — call us and we'll tell you our earliest availability.

Parts Replacement

Igniters, flame sensors, heat exchangers, control boards, gas valves, draft inducers, limit switches, capacitors — we replace the component that failed, not the whole system. When a repair is the right answer, we'll tell you. When it isn't, we'll tell you that too, with honest reasons.

All Brands & Systems

We repair gas furnaces, oil furnaces, and heat pumps from all major manufacturers — Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, Bryant, Goodman, York, and more. Older equipment, uncommon models, and systems other contractors have turned away are all fair game.

What's Wrong With Your Furnace?

Tap any symptom to learn what it usually means and what we do about it.

  • Most often a failed igniter, a tripped safety switch, or a thermostat issue. Less commonly a control board failure or a gas supply problem. We run a full sequence-of-operation diagnostic to find the exact failure point — not just the first thing that seems off.
  • Short cycling is usually caused by a dirty flame sensor, an overheating unit (often from a clogged filter or blocked vents), or a faulty limit switch. A dirty flame sensor is one of the most common furnace repair calls — and one of the easiest to fix.
  • If the blower is running but the air isn't warm, the burners may not be igniting — or the heat exchanger is bypassing heat to the flue. We check the gas valve, ignition system, and heat exchanger during our diagnostic.
  • A banging or boom on startup often means delayed ignition — gas is building up before it lights. Rattling can be loose panels or ductwork. Screeching usually points to a blower motor bearing or inducer motor issue. None of these should be ignored.
  • A healthy furnace burns blue. Yellow or orange flames indicate incomplete combustion — often dirty burners or a cracked heat exchanger that is allowing combustion gases to mix with supply air. This is a safety issue. Call us right away.
  • Could be a unit that was undersized for the home, severe duct leakage, a dirty filter choking airflow, or an aging system losing efficiency. We'll diagnose whether it's a repair issue, a maintenance issue, or a capacity issue.
  • Modern furnaces display error codes that point toward the failure area. We read and interpret the code, then trace the root cause — because the code tells you where to look, not always what actually failed. Don't reset and ignore it.

When to Call Us Immediately

Some furnace symptoms aren't just inconvenient — they're safety issues. If you notice any of the following, shut off the furnace and call us right away.

  • Yellow, orange, or flickering burner flame
  • Smell of gas near the furnace or anywhere in the home
  • Carbon monoxide detector alarm
  • Visible cracks or corrosion on the furnace cabinet
  • Excessive soot around the furnace or vents
  • Any time you have doubts about the safety of your system

If you suspect a gas leak, leave the house immediately and call your gas utility before calling us. For CO alarms, evacuate first.

Furnace Repair FAQ

It depends on what's wrong. A flame sensor cleaning is a minor repair. A heat exchanger or control board replacement is a more significant cost. We give you a firm price after the diagnostic — before any work starts — so you can make an informed decision with no surprises. We never begin a repair without your approval.
The general rule: if a repair costs more than half of what a replacement would cost, or if your furnace is over 15 years old and facing a major repair, replacement is usually the smarter long-term investment. We'll tell you honestly which way the math points for your specific situation — including the efficiency gains a new system would deliver.
Write down the code and call us. The code narrows down the failure area, but a proper diagnosis is still needed to identify the actual cause — the same code can be triggered by several different failures. Don't clear and reset the code repeatedly; it often resets the cycle timer and makes the problem harder to catch.
Check the basics: make sure the thermostat is set to heat and above the current room temperature, verify the power switch near the furnace is on, and check that the filter isn't completely clogged. A clogged filter can trigger a safety shutoff. Beyond those checks, we'd rather diagnose it ourselves than have you work around something that could be a safety issue.
Yes — we service and repair both gas and oil furnaces, as well as heat pumps. If you're not sure what type of system you have, describe what you see and we'll help figure it out before the visit.
Annual tune-ups before heating season are the single most effective way to catch problems early — before they become mid-winter failures. Our Gold and Platinum membership plans include two HVAC visits per year and move you to the front of the line if something does go wrong. Visit our memberships page for details.
